Studies - the starting point for a good profession

The Fachhochschule Frankfurt am Main offers practice-oriented study programs of a high academic standard, opening the way to a broad range of attractive professions. Our international orientation smooths the way to the global job market: we offer not only a wide range of language courses and language learning levels, but have partnerships with 60 universities worldwide. Most of our students now graduate with a Bachelor or Master degree, in conformity with international standards.

Lifelong learning

Furthermore, our university offers through its wide range of further education programs "Lebensbegleitendes lernen" ("Lifelong Learning"). Through our occupational study programs and postgraduate programs, professionals can further qualify themselves to fulfil the ever-increasing demands of their professional fields.

Over 30 study programs

The four faculties and over 30 study programs reflect the academic profile of our university. The broad range of study programs is being continually supplemented and extended to include a range of future-oriented subjects. The application-oriented research gears education to the realities of professional life.

Theory and practice are a partnership

Our goal is to provide a top academic quality education which is at the same time practice- and application-oriented. To fulfil these standards, key qualifications such as team competence and work techniques are an integral part of studies. Our responsibility for the individual, society, and environment are constantly considered.

Service provider for students

The university considers itself to be a service provider for students. To this end, we create the conditions for a successful course of studies. This concept embraces the careful planning of studies, includes didactic aspects, and extends to student services, such as course guidance and individual care.

650 professors and lecturers and 220 administrative staff

Our 650 full-time and part-time teaching staff, equipped with the relevant professional experience, guarantee that our students receive a top quality academic and practice-oriented training. Our 220 administrative staff provide advisory and care services tailored to the needs of the individual and ensure optimal conditions for a successful and rapidly completed course of studies.

Modern premises

Lecture theaters, seminar rooms and laboratories, supported by modern media and technical equipment, and a university library with a large collection of periodicals provide valuable support for students. Internet access is also offered via Wireless-Lan connection.

Campus life

The campus with its facilities and cultural activities, contributes to an excellent study atmosphere: the well-designed student restaurant, cosy cafés and spacious layout. The wide range of sports available, mostly free of charge, is unique throughout Germany. The university theater group with its own theater facility has developed into a focal point for campus culture.

Students from over 100 nations

Over 8,000 young men and women from more than 100 nations have come to value our university as a place to study successfully, to become experts on today`s world while studying for the future.

Community outreach

Our university is linked to the local and regional community in numerous ways: Links with industries mainly focus on research and development projects and on industry placements for our students. Many students do their final thesis together with companies. The Fachhochschule professors normally keep excellent relationships to companies. There are partnership agreements with the Frankfurt City Council, with the Frankfurt Chamber of Commerce, with companies like SIEMENS and with the Frankfurt airport company FRAPORT (only to name a few). The university runs an extensive continuing education program for professionals and offers inhouse trainings for companies and non-profit organisations. An IT-support system for Frankfurt schools is in place (FRAline), helping school teachers with trouble shooting.
