About the employer

FP-RESOMUS, a Fellowship Program of the NCCR MUST and the Cluster of Excellence RESOLV

FP-RESOMUS will fund up to 50 fellowships for postdoctoral students employed in the Swiss research network NCCR MUST ((Swiss National Center of Competence in Research: Molecular Ultrafast Science and Technology) and the German Cluster of Excellence RESOLV (Ruhr Explores Solvation). In the NCCR MUST network, the gross salary of the fellows is between Euro 5'550 – 7'600 per month (different for each partner organisation). The gross salary of a postdoctoral fellow in the RESOLV network can be calculated on TV-L E13 and ranges from Euro 3840 to 5620 per month, according to the public service's wage agreement.

RESOLV and the NCCR MUST operate at the frontiers of what is technically feasible: see our Research Pages for the general research themes in our networks. The networks connect around 50 research groups across the fields of chemistry, physics, material sciences, engineering, and biology. Their aim is to solve interdisciplinary questions in Solvation and Molecular Ultrafast Science using the latest available technology and theoretical insights.

FP-RESOMUS aims to attract experienced researchers from around the world. Building on the interfaculty and international character of the programme and the strengths of two internationally visible networks of scientific excellence, FP-RESOMUS is well placed to:

  • attract postdoctoral fellows from around the world to either of the networks (incoming)
  • strengthen the exchange of postdoctoral researchers between the two networks (outgoing)
  • enable the return of Swiss and German researchers working overseas into a European research environment (reintegration).

The structured bi-national program is set up to provide high-level, comprehensive postdoctoral training, giving experienced researchers opportunities to expand their professional knowledge, skills, and experience. The prime focus is on individual research training with supervision. Formal courses may be selected within all participating institutions. Secondment of fellows within the FP-RESOMUS network is encouraged. Furthermore, fellows are offered training in transferable skills. This holistic approach is designed to benefit the career development of each fellow, as well as the receiving research groups and scientific field as a whole. FP-RESOMUS Fellows are Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellows, and accordingly have the same Rights and Duties. You may be eligible for an FP-RESOMUS fellowship if you

  • have received a Ph.D. degree no more than four years prior to the date of recruitment (see exceptions)
  • have at least one peer-reviewed original publication
  • abide by the mobility rules of MSCA (see our Guidelines for details and definitions)
