Within this context, the e-Media Research Lab conducts research at the intersection of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), digital technology, and societal challenges such as healthy ageing.
We are looking for a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to strengthen our research and educational activities in the domain of human-centered digital health and HCI in general. The position focuses on the design and evaluation of accessible technologies to support physical activity, health, and wellbeing of older adults.
This is a part-time (80%) appointment for one year, starting in September 2026.
Research assignment:
· Designing and evaluating user-centered technologies for older adults
· Developing wearable, mobile or vision-based systems
· Applying AI and data-driven methods
· Conducting participatory research and publishing research results
Teaching assignment:
· Teaching and coaching first-year students in the Integrated Labs of Engineering Experience
· Guiding student teams in the Engineering experience courses
· Supporting HCI courses within the programme
· PhD in HCI field
· Expertise in HCI and digital health
· Experience with sensors, data or AI
· Strong interest in education
· Excellent English communication skills
· Excellent knowledge of Dutch is required
