About us
The University of Applied Sciences Zwickau (UAS Zwickau) is one of the top German UAS in terms of academic research. Moreover, we offer a wide range of study programmes in engineering, technology, IT, economics, humanities and life sciences.
We are the University for Mobility, which for us is movement, change and flexibility. These principles guide us in developing solutions for future challenges. With more than 125 years of academic tradition and excellence, and as one of the largest employers in the Zwickau region, we are able to provide excellent learning and working conditions within the eight faculties found at Zwickau UAS. These faculties are based at four diverse campuses that meet the needs of the individual faculty.
The education and training programmes we provide are built on the cutting-edge research and development being conducted by our research active staff. We also take pride in ensuring programmes continually cover the professional needs of our students as well and is reflected in the many technical degree programmes offered by UAS Zwickau, but also degree programmes in Sign Language Interpreting, Wood Design, Musical Instrument Production, Textile Engineering and Fashion Design.

We are also the only university in Saxony to offer a degree course in sign language interpreting. In addition, we are the only university in Germany that teaches various facets of wood design, textile engineering and fashion design as well as musical instrument making. In this context, you can benefit from our numerous bilingual and double-degree programmes offered in collaboration with our 150 partner universities.
