Law and Technology

Teaching

Teaching the course Legal, Ethical and Social issues of Artificial Intelligence in day and evening education.

Supervision of master's theses.

Research

The candidate has a research profile that closely connects to the research conducted at the research group Law, Science, Technology and Society.

Supervision of PhD students in Law and Technology.

Other

The candidate contributes to service tasks of the department and faculty. S/he creates external visibility for the department, the faculty and/or the university.

The candidate must have an excellent level of English (the language of the course). A high level of Dutch is recommended.

3 - Job profile

Degree of PhD in a relevant discipline of the humanities.

 degree or diploma. 

• Extensive experience with interdisciplinary research in the domain of legal, ethical and social issues of ICTs (and more specifically Artificial Intelligence) is required.
• The candidate has already established an international scientific reputation in the domain of this vacancy. The candidate has teaching experience in English.
• The candidate has knowledge and/or uses the newest developments in teaching innovation.
• Experience in supervision of Master and PhD students is desirable.

Every initial appointment is also dependent on the successful teaching of a trial lesson.

Members of the academic staff who, as title-holders, are charged with teaching assignments, must be able to demonstrate the required knowledge of the language of instruction for the relevant course units. Example: When a course unit is taught in English, the candidate is required to have the appropriate certificate.
