Turku Bioscience Centre has an open position for a postdoctoral researcher. The position is until December 31, 2027. The start date is March 1st 2025, but is negotiable.
The Medical Bioinformatics Centre (https://elolab.utu.fi) at Turku Bioscience Centre is looking for a postdoctoral researcher to join our Research Council of Finland-funded project, focused on utilizing EuroHPC high-performance computing resources for the analysis of proteomics data with advanced artificial intelligence methods techniques. The project is a joint effort between Universities of Turku and Colorado, the IT Center for Science (CSC/ELIXIR), and EMBL-EBI.
The aim of the project is to develop a high-performance computing framework for mass spectrometry proteomics to enhance efficient processing and interpretation of the large-scale datasets using deep learning algorithms and GPU computing. To ensure broad applicability and robustness of the framework, it will be rigorously assessed using both synthetic and real-world study settings, with focus on identifying new early disease biomarkers. The tasks of the postdoctoral researcher include development and testing of the high-performance computing framework. Additionally, the position involves collaboration with multidisciplinary research teams and following the rapidly developing latest methods in the field.
