Salary:  £30,487 to £41,732 per annum, pro rata depending on skills and experience (minimum £33966 with relevant PhD).

Applications are invited for a full-time Research Associate/Fellow position in the field of techno-economic analysis (TEA) and life cycle assessment (LCA), applied to novel processes and process technologies, with application to 1) circular economy of polymers and 2) bioproduction of polymers. The successful applicant will work within a multi-disciplinary team and will have primary responsibility for the development of TEA and LCA models. The position holder will work closely with industry and academic partners with key complementary expertise to inform the development of models, ensuring they capture opportunities to maximise commercial benefit and sustainability. Candidates must hold, or be about to obtain, a PhD in a relevant subject area, with a background in chemical or mechanical engineering being desirable. Experience developing process models and techno-economic  assessments are requirement of this positions. Experience conducting life cycle assessments of emerging technologies is considered a strong asset. Excellent communication skills are also essential. 

This part-time (21.75 hour) position will be offered on a fixed-term contract for a period of 2 years. The position is available to start immediately.
