Salary: £31406 to £40927 per annum (pro-rata if applicable) depending on skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance.

Applications are invited to the above role to support the learning needs of Foundation Science students and ensure that the content, methods of delivery and learning materials meet the defined learning objectives of the Science with Foundation Year course. 

The role holder will be expected to use initiative, innovation and creativity in their role to develop their education practice. This will involve developing new evidence-based teaching and assessment practices, using appropriate learning technologies and/or developing systematic methods for evaluating and disseminating these within the academic unit.

We are seeking candidates with demonstrable skills in designing course materials and planning/organising the delivery and assessment of teaching within agreed quality frameworks. 

Detailed knowledge of teaching methods and techniques are essential for this role. Applicants must be able to evidence prior experience of communicating complex information clearly in a variety of formats. Experience of teaching in an adult/higher education environment would be desirable.

Candidates must hold or be working towards a Teaching Qualification (PGCE, PGCHE, or institutional accreditation). 

This is a part-time (14.5 hours per week) fixed-term post for 2 years.
