YOUR FUTURE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Technology development for RF-based magnetic devices, specifically circulators, from concept to prototype.
  • Collaborate with process engineers to develop magnetic devices fabrication processes in an R&D clean room facility.
  • Microfabrication and prototyping in cleanroom facility from small size samples up to 200 mm wafer level technology.
  • Advanced characterization and testing of developed RF devices (electrical, structural, magnetic, …)
  • Scientific communication, reporting of research results, documentation, generating new intellectual property including patent applications, writing of proposals.

YOUR PROFILE

  • Master 5 years of relevant working experience/ PhD in relevant field (education in magnetics, spintronics, high-frequency, physics, microtechnology or similar fields)
  • Microfabrication experience in cleanroom, preferably for magnetics-based or RF-based devices
  • Experience in with characterization of magnetic devices; characterization of RF devices is a strong plus
  • Proficiency in English, German is a plus
  • A team player with good communication skills
  • Genuine interest in applied research, industrial applications, and scientific progress
  • Willingness to relocate to Austria/Villach.

This position is subject to the Collective Agreement for employees in non-university research (Research CA) starting in occupational group E. For this position we offer competitive salaries and additional benefits based on your experience and qualifications, starting with a minimum gross salary of EUR 61.000 (annual, based on an All-in contract).
