Your future responsibilities
The process engineer will work in ISO 4/5 cleanroom environment using state of the art micro-/ nanofabrication equipment and characterization tools in the field of wet processing (wet benches and stand-alone, wet clean/etch, ,electrochemical deposition, and CMP process equipment).
Future tasks include:
- Process development in the fields of wet processing (Clean/Etch), electrochemical deposition /CMP for target applications in MEMS and microfabrication
- Process test and procedure design
- Process validation and characterization including documentation
- Develop and implement metrology/monitoring methods to measure equipment health and process performance data (eg: SPC chart)
- Use of characterization techniques SEM, AFM, Profilometry, experimental data analysis
- Work hands-on with interdisciplinary teams (maintenance, facility, …)
- Sample processing for research projects internal/external
- Experience with trouble shooting and fingerprint of equipment
- Documentation of standard operating procedures (SOPs), reports and cleanroom documentation
Your profile
- Bachelor / Master / PhD in Chemical Engineering or relevant Engineering field
- Several years of experience in the cleanroom in one of these fields: wet etch/clean, electrochemical deposition or CMP process
- Process test design capability
- Hands on metrology and characterization
- Solid knowledge and working behavior according to health and safety regulations
- Experience in MEMS fabrication is an advantage
- Chemical handling and management experience is a plus
- Proficiency in English. German is an asset
- A good team player with effective communication skills

This position is subject to the Collective Agreement for employees in non-university research (Research CA) starting in occupational group E (E3 salary = EUR 3.804, paid 14 times a year). For this position we offer competitive salaries and additional benefits based on your experience and qualifications, starting with a minimum salary of EUR 61.000 (annual, based on an All-in contract and bonus).
