The Business School
The Business School is the largest School in RMIT Vietnam with approximately eight thousand students on two campuses (Ho Chi Minh Saigon South and Hanoi). The school has three departments, more than 130 academic staff, four research fellows and 25 Professional staff. In terms of programs there are four bachelor programs, two PGCert programs, two Master programs and two PhD programs. Each department has one program and the fourth program has nine majors supported across the departments. The school is one of five schools of the RMIT College of Business and Law, Melbourne.
There are six research clusters in the school, three hubs and a forward plan will seek to conflate this structure to a Digital technologies centre and sustainability cluster, with Tourism and Hospitality spanning both domains. The expertise and research foci of the school are blockchain, cryptocurrencies, cybersecurity, smart cities, sustainability, and these contribute to the four RMIT pillars for research.
Recent growth areas have been in research and corporate education (AACSB accreditation is expected in 2024). Staff are currently transitioning into semester teaching whilst the school maintains three intakes and delivery. A new workload allocation framework is now applied to accommodate these developments.
Position summary
The Lecturer/Senior Lecturer contributes to Teaching and Research, and Engagement in the Management Program within the Department of Management. The successful candidate will contribute to the development of the program to meet the needs of students and other stakeholders, ensure a consistent level of research is undertaken to support relevant research clusters in the Business School. He/She may deliver courses across related programs as directed.
The incumbent also contributes to the strategic direction setting of the program, department, and School by working collaboratively with other relevant members of the department to plan and develop courses, programs, and engagement activities. The successful candidate assists the Senior Program Manager on occasion with administrative decisions and tasks.
The scope of responsibilities includes supporting the formulation of strategic planning for the program, course management, where needed, quality assurance, student relationship management, human resource management, program budgeting and resource management and research planning.
The Lecturer/Senior Lecturer will act in accordance with the Academic Expectations framework of RMIT University Vietnam.

The role located is Ho Chi Minh city Vietnam, is open for both local and expatriate candidates.
Work Permit: All foreign employees must adhere to the requirements for obtaining a valid visa and work permit in Vietnam. These requirements are mandated by the Government and may be over and above the mandatory requirements and key selection criteria. Work permit requirements are subject to change. RMIT Vietnam accepts zero tolerance to non-adherence of the immigration laws of Vietnam.
English Proficiency: English is the language of teaching and communication at RMIT Vietnam. For this role, the minimum requirement is IELTS (Academic) with a score of at least 7.0 with no band less than 6.5.
