YOUR TASKS

Together with the lecturers, you help with the (further) roll-out of the LISa projects on interdisciplinary cooperation, the operationalization of teaching courses in the bachelor program subjects within the learning lines “Work field & Society”, “Pharmaceutical Research & Innovation” and assistance in courses having a major active learning component.

This includes the following tasks:

• Further elaboration and optimization of the educational activities that contribute to the professional and social training competences, including the introduction of up-to-date practical cases and experience;
• Evaluating writing tasks and oral presentations on the basis of homogeneous assessment tools;
• Guiding students and answering questions during the execution of assignments;
• Contribute to the efficient organization of the course units;
• Assisting the supervisors and lecturers in the practical implementation of these courses (including credits, plagiarism checks, assignments, organization of company visits and introductory internship in the officina pharmacy);
• Implementing Ufora learning and evaluation modules.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• You hold a Master's degree in Pharmaceutical Care, Drug Development or Educational Master's degree in Health Sciences; for diplomas obtained outside the European Union, an equivalence certificate from NARIC must be submitted. The diploma conditions must be met on the date of appointment.
• Practical experience in a public pharmacy or as another healthcare provider is recommended;
• A certificate of pedagogical competence is a plus;
• You are passionate about the role of the pharmacist and other health care providers in society;
• You are a good organizer;
• You like to communicate with students;
• You are prepared to familiarize yourself with digital (educational) tools;
• You are a team player and you work together with your colleagues on uniform instructions and guidance.

WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU

• We offer you a period of 2 year appointment which may be renewed indefinitely for five years at a time. Attention: You cannot be appointed for a cumulative percentage of more than 30% as a Teaching Assistant at Ghent University
• Your appointment will start on 1 June 2024 at the earliest
