The Laboratory of Pharmaceutical Biotechnology, Ghent University, Belgium is looking for a highly motivated Ph.D. student interested in massively parallel sequencing as a tool to perform transcriptomics and (epi)genomics. The candidate will perform the data analysis, bioinformatics and statistics in multiple research projects. An important focus is the development of a forensic lab-on-chip in collaboration with several (inter)national partners. The candidate will help to design the chip, implement and test forensic assays on the chip.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
A strong background and relevant experience in the areas of engineering, bio-informatics, biotechnology and/or Massively Parallel Sequencing (MPS).
