Description of the research activity:
Development of numerical methods and software for high-performance scientific computing, integrating traditional physics-based approaches with data-driven methodologies, including machine learning, deep learning, data mining, neural networks, and artificial intelligence. The position emphasizes iterative methods for solving large-scale linear systems and the numerical solution of nonlinear and differential equations, with a focus on advanced discretization techniques, including fractional differential equations. Hybrid approaches, such as physics-informed machine learning, are also a key area of focus.
