PhD program in Systems Medicine.
The PhD Program aims to train young and motivated biologists, medical doctors, computer scientists, physicists and mathematicians in the wide field of modern Biomedicine. Due to its peculiarity, the Italian Ministry of University and Research (MUR) recognized the PhD program in Systems Medicine as a PhD program of National Interest. See our promotional video.

Duration: 4 years

Research areas: Biology of Ageing, Cancer Metabolism, Computational Biology and Bioinformatics, Developmental and Stem Cell Biology, Drug discovery and design, Epigenetics, Experimental Pathology, Human Genetics and Genomics, Immunology, Medical Humanities, Microbiology and Microbiome, Molecular and Cellular Biology, Molecular Oncology, Neurobiology, Omics Sciences, Structural Biology.

In the multi and interdisciplinary scientific environment of the European School of Molecular Medicine (SEMM) network, that includes 8 Italian Research Centers and 7 Italian Universities, we offer for the 2024, additional 16 positions in many different and interdisciplinary research areas, check them out  and get inspired.

Young and motivated university graduates are encouraged to apply. Applicants should hold 2nd level degree (MSc, or equivalent) in any subject related to the PhD research areas, have some laboratory/research experience and a good English proficiency.
