The Frazzoli group at the Institute for Dynamic Systems and Control, Department of Mechanical and Process Engineering (D-MAVT) is looking for a postdoctoral researcher to work in the context of NCCR Automation on the broad theme of Responsible Automation (how to align control and design objectives with societal interest).
The position is available immediately. The initial appointment is for 1 year, with renewals up to 4 years.
The Responsible Automation initiative within NCCR Automation aims to address the societal impacts of automation technologies, ensuring they are equitable, ethical, and aligned with societal values. This includes designing frameworks and mechanisms that prioritize sustainability, fairness, and trust in automated systems.
As a member of the NCCR Automation, you will benefit from the many opportunities offered by the NCCR (training, professional development, collaboration with researchers in academia and industry) and are expected to contribute to the NCCR activities when relevant (communication, technology transfer, equal opportunities, outreach).
