The CRCM is an international cancer research center affiliated to national (InsermCNRS) and local (Aix-Marseille Université, Paoli-Calmettes Cancer Institute) institutions. The center hosts 450 members in 4 Departments dedicated to Cell Communication and Microenvironment, Genome Integrity, Onco Haematology and Immuno-Oncology, and Translational/Clinical research (http://crcm.marseille.inserm.fr/en/) in the South-East of France. The CRCM combines excellent research and access to high education in oncology and immunology, state-of-the-art technological support and a collegial set of teams offering a fertile and outstanding environment to develop fundamental, translational or clinical projects for patient benefits. The center has a long history in the discovery of targets, pathways and protein complexes of fundamental and physiopathological relevance and offers access to state-of-the-art equipment in proteomics, genomics, histo-pathology, cell imaging, preclinics, immunomonitoring, bioinformatics and biobanking. The CRCM benefits from an exceptional environment, and is a cornerstone of the Marseille Immunology Biocluster initiative regrouping other leading scientific institutions, hospitals, faculties and a park of Biotech in the sunny area of Marseille.

In 2025, the CRCM will host a novel laboratory dedicated to computational modeling for multi-omics DATA in oncology aiming to reinforce its capacity and excellence in this field, in close collaboration with teams and platforms, and the medical activities of Institut Paoli-Calmettes. We are recruiting a Senior Investigator to lead vigorous independent research programs in her/his own team at CRCM. This is an exceptional opportunity to join a dynamic center to accelerate cancer research.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in computational approaches and a preferred expertise in oncology. As Senior Investigator, s/he will have preferentially strong expertise in management of a team and will be a key contributor in data analysis in oncology, aiming to establish collaborations with teams, clinicians of Institut Paoli-Calmettes and other CRCM facilities.

A vast program has been initiated to organize the storage and integration of clinical and biological component through “DataCenter Sud”, the newly established regional data center addressing acquisition, storage, processing, and analysis, following all requirements for FAIR open data science. Optimization of the data transfer between CRCM and the Data WareHouse of its affiliated hospital, the Institut Paoli-Calmettes, is implemented with CONSORE (Continuum Care-Research) and OSIRIS programs for the integration and sharing of clinical and biological data supported by UNICANCER and the National Institute of Cancer (INCa), respectively. The CRCM therefore wishes to reinforce its computational task force at an excellent level, at the heart of an ideal environment for fruitful joint research between academics, hospital and industries.
