RESEARCHER PROFILE: Postdoc / R2: PhD holders
RESEARCH FIELD(S)1: Chemistry / Organic Chemistry / Photochemistry
MAIN SUB RESEARCH FIELD OR DISCIPLINES1: Chemistry

JOB /OFFER DESCRIPTION
The Hydrogen Atom Transfer (HAT) reaction is a very useful tool for the functionalization of unactivated C(sp3)-H bonds. However, the site-selectivity of this reaction is mainly controlled by the chemical properties of the substrate to be functionalized. Consequently, this reaction is limited to the activated position of a given substrate. The objective of this project is to develop a new family of catalyst capable to control the site-selectivity thanks to adequate geometric parameters.

The candidate recruited for this position will have the objectives of 1) synthesizing catalysts and 2) studying the efficiency of the catalysts on a model substrate.
